Thanks to Lori Ryan for 15 years at TradeNet

Lori Ryan is congratulated by TradeNet CEO Tom Mertz for her 15 years with the company.

Lori Ryan has color coding down to an art form. As a Graphics Assistant at TradeNet, it’s up to Lori to connect proofs with orders and generally keep things flowing in the Graphics Department. TradeNet most definitely makes the most of Lori’s organizational skills.

This week Lori was recognized for another aspect of her work at TradeNet, that being 15 years of service. She initially worked in assembly, but for the past six years has been in Graphics. Those around her have come to depend on her strong work ethic and willingness to put in long hours to get the job done. Having a rather long daily drive to work, Lori has been known to stay in a nearby hotel when winter storms move in. Better be safe and not have to risk missing work!

Thanks, Lori, for being a true “TradeNetter” for so many years.  Everyone at TradeNet appreciates your good work.

TradeNet is the SAAC Show Diamond

There’s a “Diamond” at the SAAC Show taking place this week (Aug. 6-7) at the Long Beach Convention Center. TradeNet stepped up to assume the lead sponsorship role at SAAC (Specialty Advertising Association of California) . The easily recognizable TradeNet logo is featured on Show signage, in the show Guide and elsewhere.

Kicking off the SAAC Show on opening day was TradeNet President Tom Mertz being one of the featured panelists for a “State of the Promotional Products Industry” discussion.   As expected Tom represented TradeNet well and shared his insight into what he felt has made TradeNet successful and sustaining in the industry.  Tom was attributed a significant portion of TradeNet’s success to the hiring of great employees over the years. It’s those employees to product TradeNet’s quality line of printed promotional materials.

The team handling the TradeNet booth at SAAC — Scott Perry, Michelle Beaver and Nowell Wisch — happily reports lots of traffic in their neighborhood. Much interest is being expressed in TradeNet’s Web-to-Print capabilities, its “new” Mail Services capabilities and overall product offerings.

Thanks for visiting TradeNet at the 2014 SAAC Show. Safe travels!

Thanks, Kim, for 15 years of bringing home the mail!

Kim Cash recognized for dedicated service to TradeNet

Tom Mertz, TradeNet President & CEO, thanks Kim Cash at a recent all-employee gathering.

When Kim Cash was recognized this week for her years of employment at TradeNet Publishing, the 15-year mark may have actually sold things a bit short. That’s because if we took into consideration all the overtime and extra hours she’s given the company since coming aboard in 1999,  Kim’s length of service could arguably be extended by a year or two, or three or more.

Kim is a Mail Services Specialist, having worked on the “mail” side of order processing for almost a dozen years. She joined TN as a customer service specialist and ultimately transitioned into “Bulk Mail” on a full-time basis. For several years Kim was a one-person show handing mail services and going above and beyond to get the job done. The department has since expanded with Kim being an integral part of the process. Our Mail Services department has the ability to quickly and economically handle virtually all types of direct mail projects from start to finish, due in no small part to the expertise of Kim and her fellow team members.

When Kim’s away from TradeNet, she enjoys gardening and cooking. (Her “neighbors” at TradeNet occasionally enjoy the benefits of Kim’s culinary skills. Who but Kim offers up chocolate cupcakes with an Oreo® and a Reese’s Cup® buried within?) She and husband have two daughters and two granddaughters, so no doubt Kim’s “real” family gets plenty of her attention.

Thanks, Kim. Your TradeNet family appreciates all you do!

Morgan Davidson ends a good run with TradeNet

Longtime IT go-to guy Morgan Davidson will spend more time at the fishin’ hole

After 14 years with TradeNet as Network Administrator, Morgan is opting to devote more time to fishing than to technology. Morgan’s retirement was celebrated in fine fashion with a company-wide lunchtime send-off.  TradeNet President Tom Mertz expressed appreciation for Morgan’s dedication and years of service to TradeNet. (Did you know Morgan and Tom have known each other since their now-grown kids were in kindergarten?)

Congratulations, Morgan! Thanks for your service to TradeNet!
